News Update, FINAL ENTRY, November 21, 2011--

It's been a long, strange trip!

We've had a blast being able to do what we wanted in television production, and thanks to so many of you over the years, we had a pretty good run.

I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit bummed out though.

We will have a small presence on the internet for a while, but with what seems to be a new buyer at the time of this writing, New Phoenix Filmworks will eventually become something new.

We have wanted to do comedy and horror, and may...but we're not sure if it would be feasible.

It's really too bad file-sharing and the unethical actions of a few ruined things. And we feel it's just a matter of time before other content producers are out of the market for good. It's a real shame...We know of 7,000 paying customers, only a handful of people were behind this.

We will stay in touch with our database via Constant Contact, and as some of the new productions are available, we'll let you know.

So...

It's been real, guys...there was a time you thought we were the best in the world, and maybe we were for a while. You have been the best and your kindness and imput over the years is deeply appreciated.

News Update, November 7, 2011--
After 18-and-a-half years...New Phoenix Filmworks is closing its doors.

We are ending our work, after 31 productions. We hope you've enjoyed them over the years since 1992.

Though we've had a blast doing this, too many forces outside our doors lead us to this crossroads. Our sales did very well for years, but with file-sharing...our work was being pirated left and right, and sales dropped dramatically, preventing us from doing large scale work. This had forced us this year to take a good hard look at where we go from here.

The general feeling here was basically,'what's the point of continuing, if the product is only going to be stolen?" Yes, a good point.

We have two Japanese buyers who are bidding to all rights to our product, including the 4 new productions many of you have not seen...we hope to have that information once a deal is reached.

Also...we discovered that a group in Phoenix...CJS Studios.. was producing pornographic films under the similar name "New Phoenix Films"...This came to our attention after some local college students told us that people were confusing them with us...We demanded they stop this, but even after legal threat they continued. Why they did this we don't know, but we had shot our second film at CJS Studios in 1996 (the Bikini babes comedy), we later learned they "came up" with the name "New Phoenix Films" the next year. (They are now out of business.)

We are "New Phoenix Filmworks", but unfortunately people in Phoenix don't seem to understand the difference between us and them. Needless to say, this has caused New Phoenix Filmworks many problems in town. There are some Locals who think we produce porno. As you know, gentle fans, we don't.
